Under my leadership, we transitioned from manual to digital operations, enhancing efficiency by 85%, upgraded facilities, and implemented quality improvement initiatives benefiting both staff and patients.

Our hospital prioritizes excellence, patient satisfaction, and strong partnerships with medical specialists, fostering collaboration and transparency. My goal remains to position Akulue Memorial Hospital as a top-tier healthcare provider, dedicated to quality patient care and operational excellence.

I remain dedicated to ensuring that the Hospital continues to deliver exceptional care and operational excellence, providing the community with access to the highest standards of healthcare while fostering a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment for all, in line with our motto: “DEDICATED TO QUALITY PATIENT CARE.”

DR NWABUNWANNE CHUKWUDI NWOKE - Senior Resident Doctor

As a senior resident doctor at Akulue Memorial Hospital, I have witnessed and contributed to its growth, driven by a commitment to quality patient care. With a 99% surgical success rate, my experiences here have strengthened my passion for medicine.

My vision is to see the hospital become a top specialist center, excelling in advanced laparoscopic surgeries and minimally invasive procedures. Achieving this requires continued investment in modern equipment and top-tier medical professionals.

DR ASADU PETER OKONKWO - Part-time Principal Medical Officer

A part-time medical officer at Akulue Memorial Hospital in Nsukka for over fifteen years now. In Akulue Memorial Hospital Nsukka, the founder, the Prof Achufusi of the blessed memory, rendered selfless services to humanity, endured a Doctor covering every shift in case of emergency, just like in Government hospitals and the legacy has been maintained by the current Administrator. One would do well to visit the hospital when needed.

UGWUBUJO GEORGINA - Head Nurse

With over four decades of dedicated service in nursing, Ugwubujo Geogina Ihuoma has been a cornerstone of our hospital’s success. Since beginning her career in 1981, she has accumulated extensive experience in child delivery, maternal care, and a broad range of other medical practices. Her commitment to the well-being of both mothers and their children has made her an invaluable leader and mentor to the nursing staff. Her deep expertise and compassionate care continue to touch countless lives, making her a beloved figure in our community.

UGWU ANASTASIA - Assistant Head Nurse

Ugwu Annatasia Dibumma is a highly skilled registered nurse and midwife with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Education. With 20 years of professional experience, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role at Akulue Memorial Hospital. Annatasia’s dedication to patient care and her passion for health education have made her an integral part of our medical team, where she continues to contribute significantly to the well-being of our patients.
